films about ghosts

there are lots of memories that have come shooting up from the recesses as I’ve sorted through old boxes and albums, mementos and souvenirs. Some of those memories are welcomed, treasured, held, savored. Some of them are so shocking in their previous hiddenness they cause me pause. Move on to another box.

In these last few days I’ve taken few literal pictures. But there are so many moments, fleeting and mundane, that I hold, treasure, inhale.

Words of friends – both old and recent. Laughter and astonishment at the shared stories, jokes, understanding. The familiarity of my house that has been my home for five (5) years. The ordinary delicious flavors of my favorite Waco meals.

I love this place. It is time to leave. I carry it in my heart.
